This is for you if you say that “I wish I could have more time to…”

It’s 1:49 in the morning. It’s the third day in a row when I have slept less than 4–5 hours per day.

Before going to sleep, after doing insanely tasks for all the projects I’m involved in, this phrase comes to my mind.

But one second later…I have realized something powerful.

That if YOU find yourself telling this phrase, that means that it’s not the problem that you don’t have time, but the problem is that you are not doing what’s important for yourself. As time is the same for everyone, what you do with it makes that sense of being in control or not.

Because if you do what’s important to you, then you won’t even realize how the time passes by. The problem is that we tend to think that everything we do is already important. We give to much credit to the things we have already invested our time in.

If you say that:

“I wish I could have more time to …. ( action verb)

“I wish I could have more time to …. ( example: connect with loved ones )

“I wish I could have more time to … sleep” — that means the things you are doing are not worth your sleeping time.

I challenge you to note every time it comes to your mind “I wish I had more time to (action phrase)” and highlight that action verb. That is your priority. The things you wish you could have more time to do.

Knowing this… What are the things you could postpone or cancel to have a more fulfilling life?
